My name is Oxana Tozlovanu, and I am an artist based in Romania creating original landscapes, coastal seascapes, and vibrant floral works in oil. Central to my creative voice is a bold, sculptural impasto technique. Rather than laying paint flat, I work with heavy-body oils, structural relief, and flexible palette knives to build dimensional surfaces that rise distinctly off the linen in rich peaks, ridges, and layered crests. This physical relief creates its own micro-shadows that interact with ambient light, subtly shifting the mood of the artwork from morning to dusk. You can feel the direct momentum of the palette knife in every passage, from the rough, craggy fissures of sea cliffs and the brisk froth of ocean tides to the curved, buttery volume of blossoming petals, giving each subject tangible weight and a commanding presence on the wall.
